  CHAPTER 1

  Dakota

“Damn! Careful with the teeth, sweetheart.”

“Oh...S-Sorry. It’s just. You’re very big,” the girl stutters.

“Damn, Dakota. Is she even old enough?” his patch brother, Otis, asks him from the table over.

“Sweetheart,” he says to the girl, holding her head still before she abuses his dick with her teeth again. “Nevermind. You just put me out of the mood. You should get off your knees and get back to your friends,” he tells the girl.

He didn’t even know her name. Just met her half an hour ago inside the bar that his MC walked into in yet another small town. She was there with a handful of her girlfriends for some sort of night out. She offered to suck his dick right there at their corner table and he’d accepted. She was tall, big tits, blonde, and pretty. How was he supposed to know she’d be so horrible at sucking dick?

She tries to help him with his fly and he swats her hands away, annoyed. “I got it,” he tells her.

“For god’s sake, hurry up and put that damn hulk-dick away,” Tristan says from next to him.

Tristan Macks. Knights of Havoc’s Nomad Charter’s Road Captain. Oh. The asshole is his first cousin too.

“Why are we stopping in this town again?” he asks Tucker, the MC’s President.

Anyone else wouldn’t be questioning their President’s call. He, as the club enforcer and friend, asks whatever questions whether he should or not.

Tucker holds up one finger to him, telling him to hold on a second while the brunette in the man’s arms removes her tongue from his mouth and her hand from around his club Prez’s dick.

“It’s close to home and wreaks of Reapers,” he turns and tells Atticus Russo, club VP.

“Yeah,” Atticus answers. “Like coming home.”

A gust of wind sweeps through the small local bar. Immediately, he can hear the whistles and catcalling by his other brothers.

“Shit,” both Atticus and Tristan say at the same time. “Tuck,” they call to their Prez, who continues to ignore them.

He turns around to see what the commotion was about.

  OH. FUCK.

She was a walking wet dream come true. Short legs but not short enough to wrap around his back. She was petite. Long and shiny black hair. Leather pants that hugged her in all the right places, especially her round ass. She was wearing a black leather jacket too. He can see nice round tits just peaking over the zipper. Her face was just as fucking gorgeous. Porcelain flawless skin, dark grey familiar eyes.

Whatever blondie couldn’t do for him, she definitely won’t have that problem.

And shit...she was walking over towards their table. Confident. Determined. Ignoring every single one of his 15 other brothers and however many hang-arounds hooting and hollering at her. She stops right in between him and Atticus, looking straight ahead at Tucker and his brunette.

After a moment, she looks at him. He was still eye-level with her even with him sitting down. She gives him a smile with a hint of mischief and a touch of...anger. And damn! Dimples! Deep fucking dimples.

“Can I borrow this, big guy?” she asks, taking the beer bottle from his hand without waiting for an answer. If she looked down, she’d see how his dick is reacting to her. Her voice was like a siren’s melody.

“Take whatever you want, baby girl.” He was grinning at her and she actually gives him a scoff.

“A moment of your time?” she asks, directing her question at Tucker, who holds up another finger, yet again.

The beer bottle goes flying right past Tucker’s head, shattering against the wall behind.

He reaches out and immediately grabs her by the arm and waist. It was his job to make sure his President stays safe and she’d nearly got a good one in already.

The sounds of chairs and tables scraping against the old floor echoes through the bar. Tucker slowly turns his head to look at the little fireball as if he was dreading it with all his being. What the hell is going on?

  “Minx,” Tucker says to her.

  Minx?

Surprising him for the second time in less than five minutes, she puts her foot on the edge of the table and shoves it right into Tucker. Beer tipping and spilling everywhere.

“Shit,” Atticus says as he’s trying to hold the table still.

“Dakota, you can let her go.” Tucker looks at him and nods. “Everyone else, get back to your drinks and pussy!”

  “What?” he asks incredulously.

“It’s okay. You can let her go,” Tucker repeats.

“Listen to him,” Atticus tells him.

She pulls herself free once he loosens his grip around her arms and waist, though he wouldn’t mind holding her up against him a bit longer.

“How are you kid?” Tristan asks the girl.

“Seriously? We’re going to start this long overdue conversation with that bullshit, Tris?” she answers with familiarity.

So, they all knew each other?

“Conversation or confrontation?” Tristan asks her.

“However, he wants it to go,” she says nodding at Tucker. “You knew how to find me but I’m here looking for YOU,” she scowls. “So, what’s it gonna be Tucker?”

“We’ve had a long ride, Minx. I’m not ready to deal with this tantrum right this minute. I hear you got a place we can camp at for a few,” Tucker says to her.

“Unbelievable,” she says, looking from Atticus and Tristan who both sigh...loudly.

“Holy shit balls!” Kyle Russo, another one of his patch brothers was shoving him aside and wrapping Minx up in his arms. “Minx! Damn!”

  “Put me down, Ky!”

So apparently, everyone knows who she is. Everyone except for dear old Dakota. And damn but he’d wanted to know her.

  CHAPTER 2

  Minx

“What happened to you Minx? I barely recognize you and I don
’t mean just with the way you look,” Kyle asks her. “What happened after I left?”

She continues gazing out past the pastures into the dark of the night with her feet hanging off of the swing. Kyle sitting right next to her on the swing like they had through most of their childhood, even though he was two years older than her.

  Reflecting. Remembering. She remains quiet.

“Whatever it is, it’s nothing to be ashamed of,” Kyle urges her.

“How was the Army?” she asks him to change the subject. Once her one and only friend...best friend, Kyle, had enlisted to get out of their shithole town as soon as he turned 18 and graduated, leaving her.

“It wasn’t what it’s hyped up to be,” Kyle answers with a shrug.

“How and when did you find Atticus?” she asks, wondering how he’d managed to find his big brother who had left town the same night her own brother did, ten years ago. Only months after Kyle had been shipped off to boot camp.

“I left the Army when I was 22. I got word that my dad finally kicked the bucket a year before that so instead of coming here, I went to the Knight’s charter down in Wilmington. Became a prospect. Imagine my surprise when the President of the charter said he knew my brother and that Atticus was VP of their Nomad charter.”

“Atticus came for you?” she asks with a hint of jealousy.

“Nah. Not immediately at least. He didn’t come until I got patched in. I didn’t become a Nomad until two years ago.”

“You both seem to have worked out your differences,” she says into the stillness.

She hears him light up a cigarette before he speaks again. “We’re cool now. It’s just the two of us you know. Well...and Tucker, of course.” She notices he didn’t include her in his ideal family. “And there’s you too, Minx,” he says as if reading her thoughts. Not unusual. Kyle was always good at that with her.

“It’s okay,” she says. “You don’t have to include me to make me feel better. I know I’m on my own out here. Have been since I was 16 when Tucker decided that life would be better without me holding him down.”

“Why did he leave you?” Kyle asks.

“You’ll have to ask him that. I don’t have an answer for you.”

“Then why didn’t you leave?” he asks.

As if it were all that simple. It might have been for him as the human species with a dick though.

“I couldn’t,” she simply answers instead.

“Christ, Minx. What happened?” he asks. “And don’t tell me nothing. We’re outlaws by birth. We know the ins and outs of the harsh reality of life. So, don’t tell me that’s what turned you into what you are now.”

“And what’s that Kyle? What am I?” she asks, finally facing her long-lost friend.

“You’re on a crotch rocket, living life in the fast lane and you‘re running for Dom Diaz. That shit’s not gonna sit well with Tucker.”

“Not gonna sit well with Tucker? Tucker is the reason why I’m stuck like this in the first place!” she hisses at Kyle.

“Tell me what the fuck happened then. We’ve never held back from each other before. What’s the fucking problem now?”

“You’ve been gone over a decade Kyle. Shit changes, people grow up.”

“Grown-ups aren’t ashamed to admit they made a mistake,” Kyle says. “Did you get into this to get back at your brother for leaving you behind? Is that it? We’re here now. He’s here now. We can help you get out.”

She shakes her head at Kyle. “It’s not that easy, Kyle. Tucker didn’t just leave me that night ten years ago. He left with Diaz’s stash and money. He left Tricia too. He left his old lady behind. His old lady that was pregnant.”

“Jesus Christ!” Kyle says, hopping off of the swing. “Does he know that? Where’s the kid now? Where’s Tricia?”

“I’d always thought her telling him she was pregnant was the reason he left. It was bad enough he was hitched with me. Throw a baby in the mix and it was probably easier for him to bail.” She watches as he finishes his cigarette, tossing it on the ground before stomping on it with his foot. “Bianca is almost nine years old now. Diaz has her and Tricia,” she tells her friend.

  “WHAT?!” Kyle asks incredulously.

“Hours after Tucker and the other Knights left, Reapers came. He had me too until I turned 18,” she says quietly. She thought she had gotten further past this part by now.

“What did they fucking do?!” Kyle hisses at her, standing his full height. Even from where she was sitting, she can see his hands were in fists, knuckles white.

“I was a 16-year-old girl with no protection. What the fuck do you think they did to me? Don’t make me have to spell it out,” she says to her friend, trying to keep her voice steady.

“FUCK!! Minx! Why the fuck didn’t you reach out to someone? Anyone! Even the police!”

He was pacing in front of her. She noticed that his raging scream and pacing was attracting the attention of some nearby Knights that were hanging out by their bikes. The tallest man she’d ever seen...Dakota...and a few others were stalking towards them now.

“As long as I do the runs, he gives me a cut to survive on and Tricia and Bianca are safe. Well, at least Bianca is. As long as I do the runs and Tricia is a compliant sex slave, my niece is safe, Kyle. What the fuck else am I supposed to do?”

“FUCK! We have to tell Tuck about this! You can’t keep this from him, Minx!”

“How many fucking times have you heard Tucker even usher a word about me or Tricia? Give me an honest answer, Kyle! Do you think he gives a fuck about any of us? We’re not Knights! And that’s all he gives a shit about,” she screams.

“Maddox and Austin. They were Reapers. How did they end up with you?” Kyle asks. “Did they touch you? Are you with one of them?”

“Austin was a prospect at the time. Maddox patched out and got excommunicated. Maddox and Austin were the ones that saved me from Reaper Asylum the first night Diaz put me on stage. Since I was already 18, they helped me sell everything I owned and we came out here and bought this place. They’re my family. The brothers that I should have had. They’ve never touched me and things were never like that with us. Reapers found us two years later, not that we were hiding.”

  Kyle stops his pacing.

“I didn’t have a choice, Kyle. I wasn’t going to leave them the way Tucker left us!”

“You fucking tell Tucker about this. About EVERYTHING! Or I will, Minx!” Kyle turns around and storms off towards the clubhouse, plowing right through Dakota and Atticus. She sees Tristan taking a deep breath before she looks the other way.

  CHAPTER 3

  Dakota

“Problem, Minx?” His buddy, Atticus asks the tiny bit of a woman sitting in a child’s swing under the huge oak tree.

“Besides the fact that you guys are here?” she answers his buddy.

He watches the interaction between the two and sees Atticus actually watching her with tender eyes.

Kendall, the tall and blonde club slut currently hanging on his arm at the moment, is whispering some shit into his ear but he could give two fucks. Probably wasn’t anything he hadn’t heard from her before. He didn’t give a shit what usually comes out of her mouth. He only liked putting stuff in it. But that had been a while ago and she wasn’t as interesting anymore.

Right now, though, his eyes were roaming over short stack sitting in the swing under the oak tree. His mind trying to memorize every square inch of her body. Oh, what that body would feel like underneath his own. Would it feel just as good as being pinned in front of him?

She finally looks up at him and then over to Kendall.

“How tall are you anyway, Paul Bunyan?” she asks him.

He hears Atticus laughing next to him.

“He’s 6’7”, sweetie. He’s 280 pounds of pure steel,” Kendall speaks as if she knew every detail about him. He can feel the slut’s possessive grip on his arm. Great.

“I wasn’t aware I needed an interpreter,” Mi
nx says, her eyes never leaving his. Gotta admit, her smart mouth had him.

“I’m six, seven and my name’s Dakota. Paul Bunyan doesn’t ride a Harley, short stack.”

She visibly makes a face at his nickname for her.

“So, what’s got Kyle riled up like that?” Atticus asks her.

  “Nothing important,” she answers.

“Doesn’t sound like it. Come on, throw Atti a bone here so I know what I can do to earn one of them dimpled smiles, Minxie.”

“Atti,” Minx says with a snort. “I miss Atti-hound. Reapers killed him that night you left you know.” Her voice was soft, calm. Her eyes looked like she was a million miles away though.

“Minx, --” Atticus starts to say but she was up and out of the swing already.

“I better go find Kyle before he does something stupid,” she says walking past everyone.

Once she was out of earshot, he looks over at his cousin, Tristan, and then back at Atticus. “What’s her problem with us being here?” he asks them.

“Minx, --” Atticus says, sighing loudly.

“Minx is actually Mercy DeMarcus,” Tristan answers. “She’s Tucker’s baby sister.”

“She’s 26 years old of pure fucking pissed off is what the fuck she is,” Atticus says. “Kendall, take a hike.”

Kendall looked like she was going to protest but he grabs her hands from around his arm and shoves her away faster than his next breath.

“When Tuck made the call to decommission the charter in the town over and go Nomad ten years ago, he left Minx behind,” Atticus says. “She was only 16. Didn’t have anyone else. We’re not sure what’s happened but Reapers have got her running guns for them.”

“So, she’s pissed at Tucker and she’s working for the enemy,” he says to his VP. “Women do stupid shit like that.”

“There’s more to it,” Tristan says. “We just don’t know what yet.”

“I’m guessing that’s why Tucker brought us to this neck of the woods,” he says to the two.
